Agra: Yamuna expressway collapsed in trench, 29 passengers died, PM condoles mourning

Once again the Yamuna Express wreaked havoc on the speed. Double decker AC bus fell into the waterfall drain near Agra. 29 passengers have died in the accident. The dead also includes one and a half year old child. There are 22 people injured.

So far 18 dead have been identified. Police is making efforts to identify the dead. In connection with the accident, Police Control Room has released helpline number. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi has condoled the painful incident.

Expressing condolences to the families of those who died in the accident, Prime Minister Modi said that I pray to God that those who are injured should recover quickly. The Prime Minister said, the state and the central government are doing all the help.
The double-decker AC bus going from Lucknow to Delhi falling on the Yamuna Expressway in Agartala’s police station Atamadpur area collapsed in the dune below 60 feet. In this accident, 29 passengers have died while 22 people are injured.
At present, rescue operations are on the spot and police force, including top officials of the district, is present on the spot. Relief rescue work is finding it difficult due to water logging in the trench.

This accident happened due to the bus driver’s nap. Attempts are being made to identify the dead by people’s belongings.
The District Magistrate said that the bus was going from Lucknow to Anand Vihar bus stand in Delhi,
Due to the naps of the driver, the bus was uncontrollable and broke the guardrail on the Yamuna Expressway and went into the drain. People injured in the accident have been admitted to different hospitals of the district.
The Helpine number has also been released by the Police Control Room in relation to Yamuna Express-Bus bus accident.

Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Dinesh Sharma and Minister of State for Transport Dev Singh
done inspection.After this he went to the hospital and met the injured and looked after his medical and supervision.

A three-member committee has been fashioned to analyze the incident.



Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed sorrow at the incident.
He has also instructed the SP and DM to get immediate treatment for the injured after reaching the spot.
The Chief Minister has announced the financial help of five lakh rupees to the family members of the deceased.
